Step 1

What to send us

You don't need to have a print-ready file to order. Send us what you have and we'll tell you if we need anything else at the proof stage.

Preferred: PDF (print-ready)

A PDF exported from Illustrator, Canva or InDesign with at least 3mm bleed and 300 DPI. This is the fastest path to your proof, we can usually go straight to production-ready.

Also accepted: PNG, JPG, SVG, AI, EPS

High-resolution PNG or JPG (300 DPI minimum at print size). Vector files (AI, SVG, EPS) are ideal for logos and icons. We'll optimise them in pre-press.

Canva designs are fine

Download your Canva design as a PDF (Print, with bleed turned on) or a high-res PNG. Don't use the default "Share" PNG, go to Download and select "PDF Print."

Artwork checklist
300 DPI minimum resolution at print size
CMYK colour mode (we'll convert RGB if needed)
3mm bleed on all sides (for trimmed products)
Fonts embedded or outlined (no missing fonts)
Text and important elements 3mm inside the cut line
Saved at actual print size (not scaled)
Don't worry if you're not sure about all of this, send what you have and we'll flag any issues in the proof.
Step 2

What your proof will look like

We send a PDF proof before printing anything. Here's exactly what you'll receive and what to look for.

Proof of Artwork, Your Order #XXXX
From: info@stickysitch.com.au

Hi [Your name],

Thank you for sending those files! Please find attached your proof of artwork for review and approval.

The final size will be 50×30mm, which falls within your selected 50×50mm custom shape.

About the cut lines shown: The pink/blue lines in the proof are cut guidelines only. They show the final size and shape and will not print on your finished labels.
Clear sticker note: Any areas shown as white in your artwork will print as clear/transparent unless white ink has been specifically requested. If you're not ordering clear labels, ignore this note.

Once you provide approval, this proof will be used for production exactly as shown. The final product will be printed as per the approved artwork.

Please review everything carefully, spelling, layout, colours and sizing. Responsibility for any errors in the approved artwork rests with the person who approves the proof. No changes can be made after approval.

Reply to this email to approve, or let us know if you'd like any changes before we proceed.

Kind regards,
The Sticky Sitch Team

Reply "Approved" to confirm

When you're happy, reply to the proof email with your approval. That's the green light to production. We go to print the same day for orders received before 2pm AEST.

IMPORTANT

No changes after approval

Once you approve the proof, production begins. Check everything before replying, spelling, layout, sizes. We can't stop the press once it's started.

Artwork FAQ

Common artwork questions

If your question isn't here, email us at info@stickysitch.com.au and we'll sort it out.

Contact us →
Yes. Export your design as a PDF (Print quality, bleed on) or a high-res PNG at maximum quality. Don't share a screen-res PNG at 72 DPI, it'll print blurry. If you're not sure, email us the file first and we'll check it before you pay.
300 DPI at the actual print size minimum. That means a 100×100mm label needs to be at least 1181×1181 pixels. If you're sending a vector file (PDF, AI, SVG, EPS) resolution doesn't apply, vectors scale perfectly at any size.
White areas in your artwork will print as clear/transparent on clear vinyl unless you've specifically asked for white ink. This is by design, it's what makes clear labels look "printed on the bottle." If you want a white background on a clear label, just let us know in your order notes and we'll add a white underlay.
Those are cut guidelines showing where the label will be trimmed. They are for reference only and will not print on your finished labels. Ignore them when checking your artwork, focus on the design inside the lines.
We don't currently offer a full design service, but we can do minor artwork adjustments as part of pre-press (resizing, colour adjustments, simple layout tweaks). For a full design, we recommend working with a local designer first, get in touch and we can point you in the right direction.
Once a proof has been approved, the responsibility for any errors in the artwork (spelling, layout, sizing) rests with the approval given. That's exactly why we send proofs, so you can check everything before anything prints. If we make an error on our end (different to what was approved), we reprint it free.
