Sheets make sense while you're still working things out. If a recipe might change or you're testing a design at the markets, there's no need to commit to 500. They're the cheaper way in, too: 500 × 30 mm circles cost $56.76 on sheets and $193.60 on a roll.
Rolls make sense once peeling labels is what's slowing you down. They're built for applying at volume, by hand or by machine. The gap also narrows at larger sizes: 50 mm circles are about 23c each for 500 on sheets, and about 25c each for 1,000 on a roll. Using an applicator? Read our label applicator guide first.
The all-rounder for product labels. A solid white base means your colours look the same on any packaging. It's waterproof, so bottles, the fridge, an esky and outdoors are all fine. Add a gloss or matte laminate.
See-through film gives a no-label look on glass and clear packaging. It's waterproof too. Optional white ink lets parts of your design print solid white, so they don't disappear against the contents.
Clear vinyl stickers →A silver base for labels that need a metallic look, available on rolls with a gloss or matte laminate. If yours are going somewhere wet, ask us first and we'll talk it through.
Silver roll labels →A good fit for cartons, boxes and anything that lives somewhere dry. Paper labels are for dry use only, so keep them out of fridges, eskies, bathrooms and the weather.
Paper roll labels →Gloss or matte comes down to the look you're after: gloss is shiny, while matte is softer with less glare. Our materials guide goes deeper.
Sauces, drinks, oils and cosmetics. Go with white or clear vinyl for anything chilled or handled with wet hands.
Bottle labels →Clear vinyl keeps the jar front and centre, white gives bold branding and silver adds a metallic look. Sheets suit a first market run.
Candle labels →Box seals, mailer closures and carton labels. Paper works where it stays dry, and white or clear vinyl covers the rest.
Packaging labels →For anything going near water, ice or weather, white and clear vinyl are the two to choose.
Waterproof labels →Same code on every label? Order online with a live price. If every label needs a different number, we'll quote it for you.
Barcode labels →Circles suit lids, seals and logos, and sheets start at 30 mm. Round roll labels work for bigger runs.
Round stickers →In Melbourne? Our custom labels Melbourne page has more about printing locally in our Ravenhall studio.
Measure the space you actually have on your bottle, jar or box, then leave a small margin around it. On a round container, remember that a wide label wraps out of sight, so keep the important words where they can be seen from the front.
Next, print your design at full size on office paper and tape it on. It takes five minutes and shows you straight away whether the small print is readable and whether the label looks right on the shelf.
Labels on sheets run from 30 to 125 mm, and the roll labels page prices your size as you enter it. Over 125 mm or need a special material? Send us the size, quantity, where it's going and your artwork, and we usually reply within a few hours on business days. Our size guide can help as well.
